TUITION PAYMENT POLICIES – SUMMER DANCE PROGRAM

Payment for Summer Dance session is due the first day of your class. If you are paying per class the fee is due prior to taking class that day.

There is no Registration Fee for the Summer Program.

Payment Methods are listed below.

TUITION PAYMENT POLICIES – FULL DANCE SEASON SEPT-JUNE

A Non-Refundable Registration Fee is due per year at the time of registration.   $40 per student / $10 for each additional student per family. The Registration must be paid in full in order to reserve spots in the class/es you are interested in.

The 2023-2024 dance season runs for 10 months - September 2023 through June 2024. 

Full tuition is due for each month regardless of the number of classes that occur in the month.  Tuition is determined based on the full value of classes over the course of the entire dance season and then divided into monthly installments for your convenience.  Some months have more or less classes than other months but the tuition amount does not change.

SEPT – MAY tuition is due by the 15th of each month. 

JUNE tuition due by the 10th.  Tuition for the year must be paid in full by 6/10/23.   

A $10 Late Fee will be charged if tuition is not paid in full by the last day of the month.

A $25 Return Check Fee will be charged for any check returned by the bank for any reason. 

All tuition payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. Dance lessons are a commitment from both the parents and students.  No monies will be refunded or transferred to another student for any reason.

If a student decides he/she wants to drop a class once classes have started for that month, tuition for that class is still due in full.  The tuition change reflecting the dropped class will go into effect the following month.  

FAILURE TO PAY tuition on time each month may result in suspension of enrollment.   

  

PAYMENT METHODS

Cash or Check at the Studio - Secure Drop Box: 

There is a slotted locked box inside the studio for use for checks, cash, or money orders.  The payment must be placed in a sealed envelope with the dancer’s name written on the outside.  If paying with cash you will be sent a receipt via text once the payment is collected from the box. ATTENDANCE, MISSED CLASSES and MAKE-UP POLICY

Good attendance is required in order to remain enrolled in a class.  Students are expected to attend their classes regularly and miss rarely.  Students who are not attending class regularly will not be able to continue taking the class.  Please communicate with us if a circumstance arises that causes a student to miss multiple classes.   No deductions in tuition will be made for classes missed. 

If parents/guardians so choose, a student may attend a make-up class in the event he or she misses a class.  Make-up classes may be taken in any other same level class or a level below the student’s current level.   It is the responsibility of each family to keep track of classes missed if they so choose.  Make-up classes may be taken before or after the missed class.   Monthly tuition amounts do not change if a student misses class. 

 

PHOTOGRAPH / IMAGE RELEASE

Steel City Academy of Dance may take images (photographs and/or videos) of enrolled students and families that may be used to document activities at Steel City Academy of Dance.  These images may be used in promotional materials, social media, and the website of Steel City Academy of Dance.  All images are for the exclusive use by Steel City Academy of Dance and are property of same.  If any parent/guardian does not want their child’s image used they must notify and inform the studio’s owners at the time of registration.

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Check our website for the latest studio closing information.  Classes are not always cancelled when schools are closed because conditions may improve by the evening. Classes cancelled due to weather or emergency can be made up in any appropriate level class. If more than one class has been cancelled due to weather and there is no appropriate class to make up in, the class will be rescheduled.

 

PERFORMANCE RELATED POLICIES

During a performance year, you must notify us by December 1st if your child will not be participating in the performance.  If you do not notify us by December 1st, you will be responsible for the full cost of the costume/s for the classes your child is taking.  There are no refunds on costumes under any circumstances.

Attendance at both Dress Rehearsals and the Performance is required for all students participating in the show.
